Peter McIntyre was a New Zealand artist best known for his depictions of landscapes in New Zealand and Tahiti. Born in 1910, he died in 1995. 

This book is a record of Peter McIntyre’s love of all that this countryside has to offer: its lakes, beaches, rivers, and mountains; its familiarity and its surprising remoteness; its timelessness and at the same time its variability.
